watching bout footage is still horrifying and cringeworthy but like watching myself skate now vs back in july is like the most insane difference ever. and there’s like one or two times where i’m like PAST HEX DO THE THING and then past hex does the thing and it’s so cool
roller derby is the best and it’s so gratifying to watch my hard work pay off
The Boston Derby Dames are heading to WFTDA’s 2014 West Virginia D1 playoffs, and we’re hosting a fundraiser/party to help us do that! Come party with the Dames, support your favorite roller girls, and have a beer or two while rocking out to DJ Stella. $5 cover.
i just made the best green goddess smoothie (kale, celery, ginger, tumeric, matcha, spirulina, and blueberries which aren’t green but whatever) and i feel so good. i ate a ton of wheat and sugar on sunday and felt *so* sick sunday night, and so exhausted monday morning- i can’t believe how instantly my body got pissed at me for not eating healthy. definitely even more motivated to keep up with my healthy eating now.
i went rock climbing yesterday! my dad and i took an intro to indoor climbing class, and it was awesome. i can’t wait to go again. possibly today. full body workouts make me smile because my arms are always more sore than my legs and core. i gotta get my noodle arms up to the same level as my derby legs.
i’m also taking an intro to boxing class tomorrow night, and i have a five class package i bought on groupon. and i’m trying dance classes saturday morning with my best friend, because we saw slutcracker last winter and have wanted to go to ballet ever since. (also we used to take dance classes together when we were in middle school so it’s like the cutest throwback ever.)
basically i want to do all the things, and get so strong, and never stop moving. i love what i’ve become since starting to skate.
